If you have serious competition (which we all do), keeping track of where you stand and incorporating their progress into your keyword strategy is essential. Seona’s competitor feature allows you to always stay one step ahead of your competition by giving you valuable insights on how to outperform them.

Your Competitors Page

On the Competitors page, you can view a list of your saved competitors along with key information about their domain authority, traffic, ranking keywords, and backlinks. To get a more detailed look at any competitor, simply click on their URL or enter the competitor’s website in the search bar and select "Go." This will open detailed insights on your competitor’s performance.

Insights from Seona

Seona provides customized insights on how you can compete more effectively against your competition. These insights may include actionable recommendations like “Target more high-traffic keywords,” which you can incorporate into your SEO strategy via the Keywords tab. Some suggestions may require external effort, such as increasing your backlink volume beyond what Seona handles for you. Seona is continuously improving, and we are rapidly adding new features that will make it easier for you to beat your competition in every aspect of SEO.

Comparison

The Comparison section allows you to see how your site stacks up against your competitor’s performance. You’ll be able to compare domain authority, traffic, ranking keywords, and backlinks. If your competitor is ahead in any of these areas, it’s a good sign that you’re using Seona to close the gap. Depending on how much ground you need to cover, it could take time and additional effort, but with Seona's support in building backlinks and optimizing content, you’ll start closing the distance more quickly.

Insights from Seona

Seona will also provide keyword-specific insights that help guide your keyword targeting strategy, focusing on how you can best attract traffic away from your competitor.

Shared Keywords

Shared keywords are those that both you and your competitor rank for. On this page, you’ll be able to see where you and your competitor rank for each shared keyword, along with stats about the keyword’s performance. If your competitor ranks higher for a valuable keyword, and it has a high Seona score, this represents an opportunity. You can click the "+" button to add it to your keyword list and use Seona’s credits to start publishing blog posts targeting that keyword.

Keyword Opportunities

Keyword opportunities are those that your competitor ranks for, but you don’t. You can also view ranking positions and keyword statistics. If you notice a high Seona score for a keyword where your competitor is ahead, this is another chance to close the gap. Click the "+" button to add it to your keyword list, and use Seona to publish content targeting those keywords.

Competitor Pages

Insights from Seona

Seona also gives content-related insights based on the pages performing well on your competitor’s site. These insights can highlight content types that are currently bringing in traffic for your competitor—whether blog posts or other content formats that Seona will soon support.

Top Pages

Top Pages are the most successful pages on your competitor’s site, driving the highest traffic. Seona uses these pages as inspiration for content ideas, helping you decide what additional content you should publish to attract similar traffic. Use these insights to guide your blog strategy and start capturing your competitor's traffic.

Clicking the top keywords button the far right will show the top keywords that that page is ranking for on google, and the amount of traffic they are receiving and their rank for each keyword, helping you discover which pages are ranking for which keywords.
